Use your hands to mix the ingredients thoroughly.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions, shaping each into a 1/2″ thick patty.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the patties to the pan and cook to desired doneness, 4-5 minutes per side.
Top each burger with 1 slice of cheese, cooking another minute longer or until the cheese has melted.
Transfer the burgers to a plate, and top each burger with 2 tablespoons of pico de Gallo.
Serve with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
Tips for meal prep
To meal prep the salsa burgers, mix all the burger ingredients, except the salt, together. Form the patties but do not cook them. Store the uncooked patties in an airtight container for up to three days.
When you are ready to cook the salsa burger, sprinkle it with salt and cook as recommended.
Storing and Reheating leftover Salsa Burgers
Store any leftover salsa burgers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days.
To reheat the burger, you can place it in a 250-degree oven for about 10 minutes. Additionally, you could reheat it in a cast iron skillet on low.

Hi there, thank you for the recipe. I’m vegan so I think I’ll try this using black beans. Excited to see how it tastes using your seasonings.
I think the flavors would work really well with the black beans! You may need to increase the seasoning amounts to make the flavor stand out with the beans.
This looks so yummy! I never thought to use chipotle with burgers, and the Pico de Gallo… I’ll definitely be trying this 😄
The chipotle powder adds some delicious smokiness and just a little bit of heat!
