I wanted to pop in today and share a bit more info on the July Detox. The pre-detox week starts on July 2. This is the ideal time to take the quiz and see which level of the detox is best for you. During this week you will begin to prep both your kitchen and your mind for the detox. The detox officially starts on July 9th. These first few day can be a real test but don’t worry, you can always reach out to me for support and to answer any question you may have. Over the next 21 days, you will find try loads of new recipes and possible even some new foods. You will be removing offensive foods from your diet, including processed foods, poor quality fats, alcohol, and the like. You will reconnect with your body’s natural hunger signals and learn what they are telling you. You can learn more over at the 21DSD website. Following your detox, is the reintroduction week. This week steps you through how to reintroduce some of the food you have been avoiding. It is possible that some these foods do not serve your body well and need to be avoided in the future. We will have 3 online coaching sessions. During this sessions, I will share a variety of information with you. This will range from how sugar effects your body, how to build your plate, the many hidden names of sugar and how to pick which food to reintroduce first. We will also have a private Facebook groups were we can all meet up and support each other. You have the option to purchase the 21DSD Daily Guide. This is a fantastic resource for mindset, recipes and even some science behind the program. It also offers a meal plan for the full 21 days if you wish to follow it. Personally, during my detox I pulled a few recipes from the book and modified some of our family favorites. If you do not wish to purchase the daily guide, I will provide you with plenty of resources to have a successful detox both in our coaching session and in paperwork. The 21DSD site has loads of recipes to choice from so making a meal plan will be a breeze! This is just a brief overview of how the program will go.
